This is a tough question. I nursed 4 babies, and was allowed to nurse them
while on antibiotics for frequent mastitis, a case of strep throat & sinus
infections, morphine (for a kidney stone just days after my 3rd birth!), and
occasional over the counter pain killers.

My children remained unharmed.

I have no doubt silver can be passed on to a baby through milk. In fact
cows' milk has a relatively high silver content according to the Fung, et.
al. article about silver prescription meds.

Considering the "acceptable amt." of silver in drinking water and how that
amt. is not much less than what a person gets in low ppm colloidal silver,
it is a risk I would have been willing to take had I known about colloidal
silver in my baby days. (I got mastitis so easily; my immune system was
shot from undiagnosed Lyme.) I would have done well to take a small
teaspoonful every day! The amount a baby would get certainly would be
small, but then the baby's organs are very small too! Yet apparently
colloidal silver, from what we know, is easily passed through urine & feces,
which breastfed babies produce quite frequently!

I would stress that this is a decision the mother must make for both of
them; I would not advise anyone to take colloidal silver for anything
without learning about it first and accepting personal responsibility for
the decision they make. I love what colloidal silver does for me, but
always take care in making it clear that this is a personal decision and I
am just giving what information I have about it to spark others' interest in
it. I may be overly cautious in my approach as I personally believe
colloidal silver is benign (but unproven.) However, I have a nursing
license to protect, and never want to appear to be giving medical advice.

In my Lyme support group, two men started taking it as a result of meeting
me. I haven't gotten recent updates from them, but I did report here about
the one man's improvement and the disappearing cyst he had for years.

Sincerely,
Nancy
