Your sure welcome and the reason that I thought of that was when I was questioning what made lightning and thunder. You have a high pressure area and a low pressure area (positive and negative ion charge) When they meet they neutralize them selves causing thunder. That neutral charge is charged by the positive charged ionosphere and you get lightning. Another thing that had me puzzled was why a persons hair stood up when he touched a Vandegraph generator. Simple it is charged repelling away from the body and earth. Back to the subject here's some other interesting things that I've found about ions. The bacteria is mostly positive at least paramecium is anyway. I found that out when killing them with the voltage from a PC speaker. They stick to the glass slide which is all ways a static negative. At least I think so anyway. I think that is part of the reason that the CS works because it attracts to the bugs. Blood cells are mostly a static positive because I've used what they call capillary tubes before and it sucks the blood right in side the little tubes. Rubbing them against wool makes them work better. Wood (at least my paneling) and foam rubber is a static positive also.
