Afternoon Wayne,

Back in the 1970's my father started a pilot plant in India making
precooked textured soybean protein. All precooked textured soybean
products available there now are a result of that initial project. The
main idea was to provide a high "quality" and affordable high protein
food. The idea was to have a product with a complete range of essential
proteins. I don't have independent sources, but I remember him saying
that 80% soybean and 20% corn gave a good mix of the essential proteins.
Another thing I remember is that they fed our dog exclusively on one of
these products and the dog did very well. Better than it had on the
diet that we were able to provide it...

Good point. I think they still had instinct from primitive man.
They could find food from the land, and did finally learn to grow a few
things. More later on the definition of protein.

>Most often eat milk products like yoghurt, paneer, and milk solids in

You did not mention what they eat in the dead of winter?
You think they dug in the snow looking for a green plant, roots, or
mushrooms?

>Meat eaters in India are often taller and bigger than vegetarians...

  Stated a different way, .........

In all the statistics of the world,

"The average height of the adult male and the life expectancy is in
direct proportion to the number of grams of protein consumed per day".

The Framingham Heart study also proves this. The head man, in an
article from the Lancet stated that the people that ate the most fat,
the most meat, and the most food, lived the longest and were the
healthiest. It was a complete turn around on the FAT issue. Without
fat, the body is doomed, just like without protein.

The original Greek meaning of the word Protein is, .........

         "Of first Importance".

That does not seem to hard to understand.

Some sources still beat around the bush defining protein.
Protein contains the 20 amino acids. If it does not contain all these
and cannot sustain life, it is simply not a protein by definition.

The term "Incomplete Protein" is a misnomer and a fraud. Some goofy
food scientist or the food industry coined the phrase.
A Protein is a Protein is a Protein, Anything else is a fraud.

I have read that corn and potatoes contains protein. Again, put the rat
in the cage, see how long he lives. He will prove to you what is a
protein and what is not.

Can you make blood from Wine? I think not.

Almost forgot, the subject was Vegetarianism.

How long would it be, if a Vegetarian ( Or a Vegan or whatever ) was
dumped into the wilderness or jungle,

How long would it be before he learned to trap, fish, make spears, make
bows and arrows, and learned that meat is good to eat.
The meat makes one strong and gives one energy to fight, run, or face
the problems of the day, and,........ that no plant or several can do as
good.

He would become tired of eating twigs, a few berries, bark off the
trees, leaves, grubs, worms, mushrooms, and the like.
He might even learn to build a fire rubbing two sticks together.
After all, Primitive man learned all this.

He might ever learn to eat humans. Others have done it.
Face the Facts. There is no way to avoid them.

As for the issue of Vegetarians living to be old, Meat eaters do also.
People is both groups have bad habits. I won't bother to list them as we
all know what they are. They are many times more meat eaters than non
meat eaters. So, there will be more sick people with disease in the
majority group. I think everyone can understand the simple math.

I am still highly disappointed on how the population views Protein,
Fats, Amino Acids, Omega 3 and Omega 6, and food in general.

After all, The pockets of the rich, the medical profession, and the food
industry has been poisoning our minds for our whole life.

What can we expect? Fortunately, I started trying to find the truth and
get my mind straight 45 years ago.

Some small parts of it are still mixed up. I welcome you to try to
straighten it out.

Wayne
