Thanks for your imput on this. I have been encouraging my husband to ingest CS
the entire course of our 5 yr. marriage, but he is still concerned about the
possible toxicity to the nervous system, the chances of doing damage if it
crosses the blood-brain barrier--as has been much discussed in other threads.
I think I may be wearing him down, though. He uses it for other
things--nebulizing, disinfecting, etc.
But what about the climate factor in these sinus headaches? If he was well
saturated with CS and took the preventive measures you advice--ones which I do
myself-i.e. the spray bottles--would this reduce these headaches as well?

  Thanks again,
  Theresa

I am much less reactive to inhaled allergens than I've ever been
before in my life. I credit the improvement to long periods of heavy
intake of oral CS, and to using the CS/DMSO nose drops and misting my
face and eyes and hands with CS when I'm out in public (I keep a mister
bottle of CS in the car, and one in my purse). When misting I try to
inhale as much of the CS mist as I can. I've had two colds since
starting to use CS over 4 years ago, both aquired when I wasn't misting.
But I have to say, prior to CS, I had 3 or 4 stubborn serious colds each
year, that always went into sinus infections. I haven't had a single
sinus infection or bronchitis in the years I've been using CS.

It is thought by some that chronic sinus problems are caused by mold
infections in the sinus. CS does a good job with it, if you can get the
CS to where the infection hides. It is getting the CS where it needs to
be long enough that is the challenge. Nebulizing with CS/DMSO can help,
as can CS/DMSO nose drops, and sinus irrigation with CS or with salt
solutions.
