One friend, after initial discomfort, was delighted with her knee replacement.  
Best thing out.
Another had a hip replacement - botched - they wouldn't believe the pain she 
was in - eventually another op - again, a mess, a third op, after much 
suffering, demonstrated the others useless but results not good even so.  So 
she just suffers.
