Here in Southern CA we have things in the soil that attack the roots of plants and greatly reduce plant growth that are called nemetodes. I read somewhere that CS will kill the nemetodes. Don't know myself, I nevere tried it. Wish I had known this back when I was a gardener. I would have tried it. - Steve
