Just went there to check as to whether or not they still had them, and her
front page has a huge article on Prill Beads by Dr. James Howenstein.

   Dunno a thang  about Prill beads except they are made of magnesium
dioxide.
 
  Manganese sand is used in DI water filtration stacks as an ion exchange
element to de-ionise water...could be similar.
