The idea of DMSO causing liver damage is hilarious since DMSO
is used to preserve living livers in organ transport. It is
not detrimental
to the liver. The primary reason DMSO was developed in the 70's
by Dr Stanley Jacob at the U of Oregon was for organ transport.
It protects and normalizes cells. It is also one of the best
antioxidants.
What you read was disinformation. The pharmaceutical
industry has
long tried to discredit DMSO and Dr Jacob. You can read all
about the
history and controversy in DMSO Nature's Healer by Dr Morton
Walker.

Why would you drink a glass of red wine?
Not the same reason you'd drink a gallon.
You'd prolly not want to drink a cup of DMSO, a teaspoon?, maybe.
2 Aspirins, fine. 20? Liver problems.

From what I've read, DMSO has a detrimental effect on the liver, so why
would anyone want to take it?
