Since everyone's skin reacts differently, the dilution would depend on the
individual and how sensitive the area of the body being treated is. For the
knees, I would start with a 50% DMSO to 50% CS solution and see how it reacts
(but that's just me - you might want to start with more CS and less DMSO until
you decide what works best for you). If not tolerated well
(irritation/rash/etc.), treat area with aloe vera or lotion or coconut oil,
etc., and then dilute it down further for the next application. A very few
people can even use DMSO full strength, but keep in mind that it can burn your
skin so start slowly using small amounts.

Sensitive areas include, but aren't necessarily limited to behind the knees,
stomach, chest, and face. I would probably start with a solution of say 25%
DMSO to 75% CS. Some people's skin will still get an irritating red rash with
this solution, so they would need to dilute it with more CS (or distilled water
if that is what you/they are using). It might be wise to treat the area with
aloe vera (or any natural moisturizer) before applying the CS/DMSO solution. I
guess experimentation is the name of the game for each person.

Hope this helps!
Ruth

    Hi Leslie,

I dilute my DMSO with my homemade CS. You can also use distilled water.

    Hope this helps!

What do you dilute with?? I have a friend who has bad arthritis in his
knees
and they hurt all the time. This sounds good. Thanks, Leslie
