i should have been more specific. cows do cow pattys, and horses do horse bisquits. find a riding stable and you'll get plenty.

        my father-in-law, over in tucson, az., would add a horse
        bisquit and flush it into the septic tank. their laundry used
        the septic, and this horse bisquit would rejuvenate the floral
        mix in the septic tank.  never had problems

            pumped I would either leave some for a starter or use the
            commercial starters with very high counts that the pumpers
            sometimes sell. The grocery store stuff is not great but it's
            better than nothing.
