hi..while i haven't found cs to help with ratty tumors, i have found it gives
them more spring and energy..and i think makes them more able to handle things
better as they age. oh, someone mentioned nebulizers..for respiratory..you can
also put olive leaf extract in their water bottle..i've never had them quit
drinking, and it really does help. it's an anti/viral substance, i'm not sure
if y ou call it an herb or what, bt i know it works. got it from Aus/rats,
before that list went..well..someplace, no one knows where. i'm actually
looking for a female as a playmate for my newest girl right now. good luck and
yes they are super therapy fuzzes for anyone in pain or who's just having a bad
day.

Actually, we have only had CS in the house for a day or two now, so too
soon to have tried them on the rats. Cindy adores these little friends and
they give her a great deal of comfort. Most evenings, she spends time online
trying to be distracted from the pain. Will have her right hand on the
computer mouse, and her left is in a rat bag with one of our little friends in
it. I'm certain they are good therapy for her.

We have nebulizers here and can give them aerosol treatments by putting
the CS in. I'll have to report on this when the time comes for us to treat
them.

Mostly, we get our pets from rat rescues and they have already been
fixed prior to joining us. Females are much more likely to get tumors,
especially if they haven't been fixed and have not had a litter or two.
Females are a lot of fun as they remain very active until old age sets in.
Males get less active at a younger age and become very nice 'lap rats' who love
to be cuddled and petted.

And it does get to be heartbreaking when one of them dies. Our very
inquisitive, fearless, and active lady, Waffles, surprised us Sunday night by
keeling over dead with no warning. She was not very old and had not been ill.
Cindy was heartbroken and spent hours crying. I missed out on the drama since
I had gone to bed at 2 a.m.

          I LOVE rats!!! I've had a few but won't anymore. It's so
heartbreaking how they get tumors and die between two and three years. Three
of mine had surgery to remove the mammary tumors. That gave maybe 3 more
months to a couple of them. Have you used colloidal silver on them? I had one
with terrible asthma, wish I'd known about CS back then.

Here is a link to my wife's attempt to put together a list of
migraine remedies and so on.

She was getting lost with all the info and so decided to put it
together in a word document for her own use. Then, she wanted to pass this
info along to some of her friends on her yahoo Pet Rat groups, but it was
getting difficult since some folks couldn't open up her Word document.

So, today I converted it to a web page. Migraines have
nothing to do with Rats, but I fiddled around with a photo I had taken of
Pongo, one of our Rex rats and turned it into the background for the page so it
wouldn't just be all black and white.
