I second all that. A cold tried to attack both me and my wife just this past
week. We both drink at least a couple of ounces of eis daily, so it did not
ever really take hold. It tried, but with all the spraying and drinking a
little more than usual, the final score was: Us 2, cold 0.

The worst it got was a very minor cough and a general feeling like something
was trying to take hold, that feeling you realize you have right before you
really come down with something. But the really come down part never happened.
We have both had similar experiences over the past 4 years of taking eis,
maybe once or twice each winter. It is great to be so free of the usual
illnesses, especially when everyone else at the office is coughing and hacking
and blowing and moaning.

Hi Teresa. Welcome to the list. Since no one has replied to your questions,
I'll try to.

There really is no *recommended* dosage for a cold, or anything else. It's an
individual thing that you'll learn for yourself as you become accustomed to
using CS. If you're already coming down with the cold, then you probably have
a stuffy nose, sore throat, etc. All you can do at this point is attack the
symptoms -- gargle CS, then swallow every hour or so until the sore throat goes
away. Either use the CS as nose drops and sniff it up into the sinuses as best
you can, or put it into a sinus spray bottle and spray up into the nose
inhaling as you do so. In addition, drink CS on an hourly basis. When I catch
a cold or the flu, I keep a pint bottle of CS next to me and sip from it all
day long until I'm better. Of course, all of this uses up a lot of CS, and for
that reason I hope you're able to make your own. Are you that far along in
your education?

As far as preventative dosing -- again, that's an individual thing. If you
work at a hospital or doctor's office where you have high exposure, and your
own immune system isn't great, then you'll need a lot more than someone who
works from home and has a great immune system -- do you see? Some people on
the list use 1 oz. per day, others use a lot more. I use CS as a mouthwash
after flossing my teeth in the morning, and that seems to be enough for me
ordinarily. Sorry I can't give you more definitive answers, but I hope this
helps.

I am new here and still have a lot to learn. Right now I am coming down with a
cold and am too tired to look this up. What is the recommended dosage of cs
for a cold? Also, what is the preventative dose everyone takes?
TIA,
Teresa
