Taking everything into account, Renee, oil pulling is quite a common detox
method used by many in the Lyme community. So they are familiar with the
method.

But, I actually don’t know if anyone has used that and that alone, or with
added anti-bacterial/viral/fungals to avoid contracting Lyme from an initial
tick bite. It certainly would be worth investigating and asking if anyone
has tried to do it that way. Not a bad idea, actually. I'd just be
concerned about the spirochetes hiding, encysting, or morphing into L-form
or other forms, etc.

I think, if it were me, I'd get on ABX as quickly as possible, since that is
the tried and true method, and then add in oil pulling per your suggestion.
It might also be worthwhile to ask Marc Fett over at Lymestrategies if he
knows anyone who has tried it. Maybe Dr. Klinghardt, or any of the
alternative LLMD experimenters knowledgeable or willing to investigate the
idea.

Who knows, you might be on to something great!

Subject: RE: CS>Tick Bite

You know, I'm wondering about this--with oil pulling they say to do it for
20 minutes as this is how long it takes for the blood to circulate through
the body.  Since the mouth membranes absorb directly into the blood stream,
oil pulling this way does remarkable things for people.

So--couldn't you put some strong natural herbal anti-bacterial/viral/fungal
in some oil and swish that around for 20 minutes after finding a tick bite?
Say, do this several times a day for the first couple days?  That would
by-pass the digestion and get the anti-everything into the same places the
virus would be delivered by the blood.  And perhaps the virus wouldn't have
enough time to get established before the herbs/MMS/whatever got to it and
killed it?

Just pondering.

Renee

Your statement below is generally not true.  Even if one gets the tick off
quickly, as you suggest, the contents of the tick's stomach may have been
regurgitated into the bite and the blood and lymph will carry it to all
parts of the body, quickly, and then start reproducing or hiding until it is
safe to start reproducing.
