Just a story about how not secure your data is on the Internet. We
cleaned out an office for a
custom golf club mfg that had gone under in the Dot Gone Tech Wreck,
they owed us money
for contract programming and their check bounced so they offered to give
us what was left in
the office in the way of computers and furniture.
Well in one of the filing cabinets was a book box full of people credit
card numbers. Now that
would not happen these days since security laws require that all but the
last four numbers be
blacked out but . . . . why were they printing them out in the first
place, and it was suppose to
be a secure site with all the badges.
I burned the whole box.
