Hi Tom,

Unless it's an old term, hydrometers used in photography are called
'argentometers'. I'm trying to track down someone who's familiar with
photography in the days of old so I can ask about them. From info I've found,
999 silver has a sg between 10.4-10.6, usually expressed as 10.5.

Just remembered I've got a set of small scales which measures 0.001g up to 10g,
might play around with them.

N.

Hello Neville,

Distilled water has a specific gravity of 1.0. So, if you could measure a
specific amount, EIS should have a higher specific gravity. I would have to
think about translating between specific gravity and PPM, but there may be
something there.
