I have been told that aluminum foil will not do the job. Aluminum actually conducts electricity quite well. When I purchased this house it was already installed. Where I lived before I was there when they came to change it out. I had called the power company and told them I was sensitive to the fields it radiated and I did not want it installed and they did not install one for me. Unfortunately I lived on the end of the building and there were 7 others on the wall... so I moved! Once it is in they will tell you they don't have the analogue meters any longer. It seems there is a movement to bring them back for people who are sensitive but it hasn't happened yet... at least in Florida. Good luck. Be persistent. Blessings, PT

I have those Alfoil baking dishes (the disposable type) much thicker than the cooking foil? I thought layers of them might be sufficient? I gather ours are read by local EMF towers - no meter maid required. Jane > >Yes. I had it done by my electrician and I can feel the difference in the >room closest to the meter. >PT >
