Dee, they will last until they are so thin they fall apart. Yours just need a bit of scrubbing up. Use a clean scratch pad moistened well with distilled water. Don't scrub too hard. Then use a dry paper towel to rub off the tarnish. If they don't polish up well, do it again. Store them wrapped up so thatno air gets to them.
Your rods are 9999 pure aren't they? Or at least 999. If not, that's what you need. My rods are 9999 pure and I have been using these same ones for 3 years. I bought 10 gauge. PLUS I make silver for me and give it away to several other people.
