Hello Sharon, The old adage "the figures don't lie but the liars figure" might apply here. Steam distillation is the way to go when it comes to CS water. It's cheap and there's not much that can be wrong with it usually, unless it has some entrained minerals which sometimes happens. That usually isn't a problem but it is easily resolved if the water doesn't work properly. Just buy another bottle from a different batch or code date.
I've never heard of compression distillation. Perhaps it's a new gimmick this old dog hasn't heard of but why take chances?
