I believe there is a misconception that taking magnesium requires that calcium be taken with it.
I believe that the opposite is true. Calcium supplements need magnesium.
Calcium can be deposited in the heart but too much mag might cause diarrhea or upset stomach. Also blood test for mag does not show how much mag is in the cells where it is needed.

Mineral imbalance is at the root of many health issues.
