Subject: CS>free TDS meter

i ordered a free TDS meter from them.
they sell a water filtration system they claim will remove EVERYTHING
except hydrogen and oxygen from the water.
i'm getting one for a free trial to use for making cs. the rep said
distillation somehow changes the structure of the water. uhhh? does it?

Dennis, The distilation process removes the TDS(total dissolved
solids)only. It does not remove volatile organic chemicals. If you are
interested in getting a water purifying system make sure they send you a
spec. sheet and be sure their system is certified by the NSF(National
Sanitation Foundation)an independent certifying organization that varifies
the manufacturer' s claims. I went through all this years ago, because our
area had contaminants-that fell into different catagories. Therefore, I
ended up getting an NSF certified system that rids the water of all types of
pollutants:It has three different filters, one that removes sediment, an RO
membrane which removes the TDS, and a carbon filter that removes the VOC's.
