Thanks to all for the confirmation that making your own Potassium Iodine is a bad idea. To explain just a little. It came from an article that I had thought was good because I thought I knew who the author was. I hadn't looked into it a lot since I was so busy with other research. My origional thought was that it would be good for many people who wouldn't get ready for an emergency beforhand since we live in a very rural farming type community. Anyway I could have made a very bad mistake that would have been hard to live with by giving them bad advice and I just want you all to know that I'm grateful for your input. Thanks Nancy
