i just use 9v batteries and distilled water.
the extra time means nothing...  it's
going to pass anyway. i'd be skeered of making some sort of silver salts
or something using anything in the water.

i'm using some 1 oz bars right now, to experiment with.  i was using high
voltage.  i decided to experiment with some low voltage (3 9volt batteries).

i forgot what i was supposed to use to prevent the buildup on the electrodes
(u know, the black flakes that turn gooey when the circuit is broken)

will a drop of honey or baking soda prevent build up..
