To people asking questions about CS color herewith a little info. about the color of CS that I have made:
I have produced a batch (16 ounces) on April 2, with a TDS-1 reading of 12 (this reading is a reference only) after production. I stored approx. 3/4 of the CS quantity into a brown (dark container similar to a brown container (hydrogen peroxide) and the remainer 1/4 of the CS into a clear plastic bottle. The reason for this, was that the dark container was too small. Note: Both containers had been rinsed with distilled water prior to filling them up. On April 4, the next day, approx. 24 hrs , I rechecked the TDS-1 in both containers and the reading was 8 instead of 12 (reading is a reference only), which I believe is normaI. The reading will go down after a while if I remember info. correctly from the list. However, the surprise was that the CS in the dark container had turned slightly yellow in color and stayed crystal clear in the clear plastic bottle. Both were stored closed to each other. And now today, both liquid CS reads 8 (reference only) on my TDS-1. Therefore, this would seems to contredict info. that I have read on the list about dark brown container. Anyone would like to provide an explaination about the color change if you have experienced similar facts ? Thanks. I hope that this will not confuse anyone.
