Well, here's another anecdotal for you. I myself had an abscess, painful as all getout with swelling and everything, one of my molars it was. I took a mouthful of 10ppm and when I let it get to the infected area, it brought tears to my eyes, I think it was the water temperature reacting with the nerve endings, and not the silver that brought the pain. Anyways, I just let it sit there in my mouth for about 2 or three minutes, then swallowed and then took 4 aspirin and went to bed. I woke up the next morning with no swelling and no pain, and didn't have to go to the dentist! I've gotten a few anecdotals from people who have had similar experiences as well.
