To become blue you would need to ingest about 3 grams of silver per day, according to Alexander G. Schauss, Ph.D. Director, Life Sciences Division John Hopkins University. A litre of 10 ppm CS contains 10 milligrams of silver, therefore one would need to ingest 300 litres per day to reach this point. This is quite a bit higher than some of the references I have seen, but even the most conservative estimate has one drinking tens of litres per day. Ivan. >>
Ivan: Well, assuming this figure is correct, how can you explain how ANYBODY can get argyria from ANY type of CS or silver compound? It would seem that they would drown in the silver nitrate (nose drops) before silver would reach such levels. Roger -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
