That is what works -- but I hate it -- for me.
Nightshade has a naturally occurring ingredient <sp>xanthene that
suppresses liver function. And if you have a sluggish liver, a lot of
nightshade, I guess, will almost shut it down. That is the way it was
explained to me. I sneak a piece of tomato now and then and living in
chili heaven I sneak some chili once in a while and I will have dry
hands for 2-5 days. Never kept track of how long it will last. But I
can definitely tell within 24 hours if I've eaten nightshade.
Also I discovered that for my blood type, which is A+, the book "Eat 4
Your Blood Type" states that A+ blood types shouldn't eat nightshade.
If anyone has a way around it without the debilitating dry skin, would
love to hear it. My favorite food was/is potatoes which I haven't had
in 20 years, but my skin is beautiful. And potatoes are the worst. The
creases would crack and bleed. It was miserable. I can relate. Just
try it for yourself and give us feedback.
