I know. That is why I was so angry on the latest Boston Public episode, where an antigun stance was being taken using Australlia as an example as to why we need to take guns away from the citizens, saying that the crime rate and murder rate has increased dramatically, and making it sound like it was because of easy access to guns, whereas it is because they took the guns away from the law abiding citizen so they could no longer defend themselves.
