Well I agree. and if you reread the wording carefully it says Moses "BURNT
it in the fire, and ground it to POWDER".

I though gold MELTS in a fire so the process must be different somehow.

Have you heard of monotomic gold? - it is a white powder - not seen any
myself but there are sites devoted to it at
