Some additional considerations include:

1. The percentage of silver in the particles, or stated another way, what is
the concentration (ppm) of silver particles.

Since the typical HVAC colloidal silver contains only 10% of the silver in
particles, what is labeled as 10 ppm is only 1 ppm of particles. Therefore, it
will take 10 times the quantity of such a product to provide the same amount of
particles as a product specified to be 10 ppm of particles. Products that are
only 2% particles would require 50 times the quantity to get 10 ppm of
particles.

2. The mean size of the particles. Since colloid reactivity is a function of
particle surface area, smaller particles are desired because they provide more
particle surface area for a constant concentration. For example, 1 ppm of 1 nm
particles has 30 times the particles surface area compared to 1 ppm of 30 nm
particles.

For more details on the relationship of particles surface area vs concentration
and particles size, see the table labeled "Colloid Surface Area" found at:

http://www.Silver-Colloids.com/Tables/tables.html

It has always been the authors contention that labeling of colloidal silver
products should specify what percentage of total silver is contained in the
particles. Alternatively, the label should state the concentration (ppm) of the
silver particles.

It is the authors contention that only the silver particles survive in the
blood stream and particle surface area relates to colloid effectiveness.
