Marshall, If I am not mistaken, viruses contain no DNA, only RNA. They take over a cell's DNA to to their dirty work. Mycoplasms have a very crude DNA, and are the smallest microorganisms/bacteria. They are parasites and very hard to treat. They are "alive" but can not live independently.
