Penn-G is what we use on goats all the time--well, I have used it only once but OTHER people use it on their goats ALL the time!<VBG> I'm not sure if it's okay to use livestock-grade on humans, but it's readily available in any feedstore fridge. It's in injectable form but antibiotics in tablet form are readily available for use with livestock, too. A lot cheaper than what your doctor will give you. I don't know the difference in the manufacture of animal-grade and human-grade antibiotics and have never used them on myself.

As for my dog's problem, what kind of changes or improvements can I expect to see? I haven't yet bought a bottle (tomorrow) and tried it. Any opinion on dosage (oral)? Has anyone used it on a similar problem with a canine? She also has thick, opaque excretions from her eyes much of the time. I think she's got a secondary infection from the bovine colostrum which might have been tested for bovine illnesses but this appears to be something which is zoonotic that they didn't test for.

Exactly what kinds of problems does CS help with? Besides everything, I mean. Why would silver act as an antibiotic? What is the idea behind this stuff? HOW does it work? I don't think we evolved to consume silver...so why does it work? And how was it discovered, anyway?
