I wouldn't go down the soy road, as you could cause other problems.  If the
ear infections are coupled with tonsillitis, look at wheat/gluten  being a
problem as well.  Rice milk is fine.  Goats milk, if you can get it is even
better, so long as its fresh.  Tastes a bit yuck though.  Depends if the
child will drink it.
