Thanks, Bob. Now all I need to know is what JK means, but I will guess it is short for jack? A Ron Cuthbert was good enough to send a schematic of yours (included here as attachment). Is a CD4027 the same as the 4027BE shown there? Could you explain what 3//820 ohm (between DF02 and 7805) actually is? Not sure if the Beck device can handle 36V, but I find that making CS (actually ionic silver) with approx 1/3-1/2 gram Citric acid added beforehand in 2 litres of DW, around 17 volts is more than adequate, using a 1500 ohm resistor as current controller (about 11 ma). In fact the voltage drop across the cell seems to be about 1-2 volts. The no-no's about using salt as starter is correct for NaCl, but to borrow a phrase "salts aint salts". Probably a good idea if you do publish the schematic afresh. regards, Kevin Nolan ken...@optusnet.com.au ----- Original Message ----- From: <bober...@postoffice.swbell.net> To: <silver-list@eskimo.com> Sent: Saturday, November 24, 2001 4:45 AM Subject: Re: CS>Polarity switching circuit > Kevin, > > A CD 4027 is dual JK flip flop IC and it drives the L293D which is a > bidirectional motor driver. > > Be carefull, is the Beck device capable of handling 36 volts? > > If I get time I will publish the circuit. > > "ole Bob"
