John,

Interesting but deceptive if this is the entire contraption.  If you
have water which is acidic or neutral, you have to add something
alkaline to it and a way to regulate how much is added to be
consistent.  Also it lacks any sort of filtration (charcoal, etc.).  I
wouldn't buy one.

What I did buy and am extremely pleased with is a Jupiter Water Ionizer.

It costs a bit over $500, but it produces water that is Soooo Goood and
easy to drink from tap water.

I have no interest in this venture or any other involving water
ionizers.

This is where I bought mine, the guy is a bit fanatical, but his prices
seem to be the best.
