Although true, I don't want to add that to my cat's drinking water. Do the adults still try to lay their eggs if there is oil on the water. I figure that they are going to lay them somewhere, so it would be better to have something for them to lay them in, where the larvae will die.
I guess one of the best ways would be to have a tub of water with some minnows in it.
