But we don't have teeth like sheep or cows. Our teeth cannot adequately chew raw grasses and other forage. But ... our teeth are better at it than a cat's or dog's. The grinders we have are basically for chewing meat and nuts apart, not something with a lot of fibrous strings in it. (BTW, my canine teeth are almost as long as my dog's :) But his are rather short, for a dog.) >Meat is rotting in our body, It's supposed to. That's what e. coli and other anaerobic bacteria do. Unless you're suggesting we're supposed to have no bacteria in our large intestine, as we have none in our small intestine. > i.e. powerful, overwhelming, legendary flatuleance is the result >of it. That comes mainly from legumes in most people. >But stomach acid tells the story best. Most people cannot digest >meats properly. That's mainly because the meats are almost always mixed with a lot of carbohydrates (breads, potatoes, pasta, corn, legumes and other starches). Stop that and most people will have good meat digestion. >They don't reap the negatives till they go past 30 years >old. Youth compensates for many an ill. The meat problem shows up later in >life. It's not a meat problem, it's a carbohydrate problem. Since carbohydrates are basically digested in the mouth, if they aren't chewed enough, or are swallowed too quickly, they mess up the rest of the digestive system. -- Dean -- from (almost) Des Moines -- KB0ZDF -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
