I used the silver maple leafs for years with good results. It has always worried me some that people would have them hanging down from alligator clips made of god-knows-what. They were also difficult to keep clean. I finally got a refinery to make a special run of 9999 12 gauge wire for me (1100 ounces). The wire is much easier to use. Best Regards, Arnold Beland
