Mary Anna, Glucosamine does work , but it takes time. It seems like the body needs to saturate itself. When I first started taking it it was 2 months before I got any relief and that was only that I could rest for 10 minutes and go on. I started taking 2 1000mg caps 3 times a day and when I finished the bottle I was pain free. Now I take Yucca which helps the body make cortisone for the joints. This beats having your knee replaced. Also it helps to take Knox geletion with the glucosamine.
