Back in the 70s pills were sold instead of Benzadrine or Dexadrine as
they looked very much the same with a cross on it. They were made to look
that way on purpose and sold in the backs of comic books and magazines by
the thousand. Take two and feel your skin crawl..check out that headache!
I can check with the chemists but I believe that meth is easy enough to
make from fairly easily obtained and inexpensive base chemicals that using
commerical pills as a starter would not be economical.
It's a dangerous process but not a hard one.
The meth the State students were making way back when smelled just like
styrofoam.
Are you sure they're making "methamphetamine" and not just concentrating
pseudo-ephedrine into a crystaline form? Now, that would be some pretty
dangerous stuff if it was mis represented and sold to someone with no
common sense.
Meth isn't especially dangerous..it's the no common sense part that's
dangerous.
BTW, that was the herb- ephedra. [not ephedrine]
I'm surprised that Foxglove digitalis hasn't made the menu.
