A few basic things.

People go to hospitals when they are ill enough to die if they don't.
Hospitals are staffed by people.
People are not perfect.
Oher people sue them when they are not what they cannot be.
..and a dying person goes ahead and dies.

"Worried" people go to family doctors...or become a doctor themselves. [unlicensed]

Medical care costs as much as it does because perfection is expected, dissappointment has been made expensive and desperate people are not especially realistic.

...which is also why a dollars worth of CS can be, and often is, sold for $1000.... when fear becomes a commodity.

Take charge of your own fear..it's a lot cheaper and more effective than paying someone else to take that responsibility even if you CAN sue them.

Ode

Ps Off the cuff observation...people who are afraid of dying seem to have a harder time staying alive.

Hi everyone,

I've created a zipped Word document of Le Magazine's most recent web document, Death by Medicine. If you would like it emailed, let me know. I will be placing it on my future website in full.

All the best,
Jan Stoeten, the Netherlands
