Hi Everyone, I re-posted everything I sent Sharon privately, publicly over the Silver list. I might have more but who knows with the way I keep files! :)
Keep in mind, I'm not suggesting anyone try anything for I'm not a doctor. Just sending what I found interesting over time for animals. I understand Ivomec was originally formulated for humans but now that we use it in animals, there is a milk with holding period. Go figure. There is a product by Fort Dodge called Cydectin (moxidectin), which is supposed to be LIKE Ivomec. However, used (off label), topically on goats which is how it is suggested for cattle, it killed over 35 head for me by destroying the nerves in the spinal column and also caused blindness. It can empty the uterus so beware. I have a friend whose husband got some of this chemical on him and he had to go to the emergency room. It enters the skin easily. Seems like there is a human wormer, pyrantel that you also use for animals, which is supposed to be safe. I found mine in Valley Vet I think. Of course the human version costs more. :) The animal version is pyrantel named Nemex which gets roundworms and hookworms. You can check it out at www.valleyvet.com and see if this is right.
