Hello, James, This oligodynamic property of silver was discovered by Raulin in 1869 and reported in his article Chemistry Of Vegetation, Sci.Nat.,11:93 (1869) according to The Handbook Of Public Water Supplies, Third Edition, American Water Works Association, 1971.
