Hi Paul & All, Thanks so much for these insights! Your description of "black fibrous material" is very close to my own observations of what is coming out of my nose, but I have not looked at it in a microscope and so dont know if this is/could be the same thing as you are describing. The aspergillus fumigatus strain you mention, is that a strain which is normal to find in the sinus cavities, is it natural? I still tend to believe the black stuff I am looking at in the mucus coming out after the flooding are the silver particles which have clumped together, as the other mucus liquid is clear and the Mesosilver that was put in is a dark liquid. If the silver didnt agglomerate, then all the liquid should have the same color when it comes out again, right? (sorry about going into the slimy details of this) Now why this agglomeration should happen, I cannot explain. Could it be because the salt is added and some chemical reaction happens when the liquid is put inside the sinus cavities? I do feel SIGNIFICANTLY better right now after having done two flooding procedures two days apart, each with two rinse sessions 45 min apart, quite amazing relief actually, so I believe that I have had some kind of mold infection and will continue to do daily flooding procedures for a week or two and see what happens, I still consider to get a sinus irrigator to make sure I get the CS into the deep cavities, I guess I should get hold of some DMSO as well? Incidentally, I have also used GSE in a strong concentration with the saline solution in two Neti pot cleansing done some hours after the CS rinse sessions. Also feels good. I just wonder if I should have any lab tests done in a few weeks from now to verify if I have any kind of aspergillus growth in my sinuses. I dont understand why the CS flooding in your experience is not able to kill all the mold spores in a few rinse sessions?? Also, I have looked at multiple anatomical drawings on the internet giving an overview of the sinus cavities. It is very confusing to say the least, not one drawing is identical. I guess the shape and size of the cavities can vary a lot from each person. One thing I wonder about is if the 2nd part of the sinus flooding procedure will make the fluid enter into the frontal sinus cavities above the eyes, the description says "forward sinus cavities"?
Can someone offer insights into specific sinus irrigator systems which can actually get CS into the frontal sinus cavities as well? I guess a fine mist would be able into these upper cavities, I dont see how any liquids would be able to enter the upper cavities unless you are under special medical treatment. Thanks, Ole PS. What are you hoping the MRI scan will show? Paul Holloway <p.j.hollo...@btinternet.com> wrote: Hi Ole, I looked at the black fibrous material I washed out under a microscope, and compared it to photos of aspergillus I found on a mycology web-site. I identified it as aspergillus fumigatus on that basis, as it looked identical (fruiting bodies especially), and there were many spores of the right shape and size as well. Then I sent some of this material to a fungal lab (I worked in a pathology lab at the time and had access) and they cultured aspergillus fumigatus - the same species! This convinced me that I had this species living in my sinuses. My doctor disagrees, but the results of my MRI scan will be interesting - I find out tomorrow. At first I found that washing this stuff out made me feel worse, horribly sick, but eventually I started feeling better. The other thing that has really helped is the use of a magnetic pulser. I don't know about the black stain on the tongue, but I do know that CS will stain some fungus. As for washing out again after the flooding, I used to do this, and get out lots more black fibrous stuff, but then figured that I wanted to leave the fungus-killing solution in my sinuses for as long as possible. Trial and error is the only way with this I think. To Paul Holloway, Garnet & All, A follow-up about my enquiry about the sinus flooding procedure. I just finished my first sinus flooding procedure and will do the followup flooding in 20 minutes. I couldnt wait until I can obtain an irrigator like the Rinoflow. I used 20ppm Mesosilver to flood.. The CS liquid that came out after the flooding contained some black material, appearing like collections of small fine treads bundled together. Paul, you mentioned that this material is the aspergillus mold/fungus that has been killed/stained black by the CS. Where did you learn this? Can anyone offer further insights into this phenomenon? I noticed the rest of the liquid is quite clear, I am therefore wondering if the black stain could be the silver particles which have agglomerated because of the contact with the mucus? However, I have had several experiences in the past with oral use of GSE/GFSE before bedtime after brushing teeth, where parts of the back end of my tongue would be stained black in the morning. I dont have much coating on the tongue, but it would appear that the GSE/GFSE killed some kind of fungus, perhaps candida? Right now I feel quite warm in the face and a bit more clear and lucid. I have not been feeling well for many days, very fuzzyheaded, and suffering from sudden depression, I noticed it became worse the more CS I took, perhaps I am experiencing a herxheimer detox. Maybe I have had this infection longer than a few months, maybe for many years? I became very sick 10 years ago and had a cold sinus infection, I have never fully recuperated after this breakdown, despite many different natural therapies. My mother has suffered with sinus infections for more than 20 years, to the point of being an invalid, she has never been cured. Perhaps there is a weakness in the family or we have shared some living conditions which have excerbated the symptoms? All inputs are welcome, thanks. Ole PS.
