Silver ions head for the aluminum and those that get there, plate it with
silver.
 Aluminum ions don't go anywhere.
 No toxicity.

 Being about the 3rd most common element on this planet, I would hope that
Aluminum isn't all that toxic.
 If it is, we're on the wrong planet.
