It's probably not harmful, but just comforting. It's really great to have you
and your expertise there to care for them!

  Take care,
  Susan

I THINK IT IS A LITTLE BIT OF HYPOGLYCEMA(SP) I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE THIS .
I ALSO USED THIS METHOD ON MY CHILDREN, ESPECIALLY MY 1ST AS SHE WAS EXTREMELY
HYPER, THEY WOULD NOT LET HER GO TO PUBLIC SCHOOL UNLESS I GAVE HER VALIUM. I
WOULD NOT BUT I DID SEND HER TO PRIVITE SCHOOL WITH A LITTLE BIT OF CHEESE OR
NUTS THAT DID THE TRICK CALMED HER DOWN IMMEDIATELY.
I USED THIS AT NIGHT WHEN THEY WOKE UP OR IF THEY COULD NOT SLEEP.
I FIND THAT THE ELDERLY KIND OF REVERT BACK TO CHILDHOOD NOT MENTALLY, IN MY
CASES, BUT IN THE FOODS THEY SHOULD EAT.

I think that it's true that waking up hungry in the middle of the night
should not be considered normal. When I did that, it was a symtom of a dental
infection.
  Just my two cents!
