I'd imagine that the pigs were around for the goyim (Gentiles). No Jew
would ever offer a pig as a sacrifice.

Possibly for the "sacrifice"? [OK, the "Gods" liked pig meat so much
they had people raise and braise them..and forbade people to eat their
