Hello again, Dan,
Concerning electrical theory, my knowledga does not go much beyond changing
a light bilb and maybe testing an outlet to see if it is adequately grounded
and if the neutral is neutral and the live wire actually has 110 v coming
out.
I have a simple meter and with it I found my colloidal silver generator
regulates voltage and the output is 28v dc. I don´t have a way to find out
if besides that it also regulates current flow along the process, but I
don´t think it does. I will eventually find out and let you know.
I am buying a laser pointer in a couple of days, but meanwhile I focus my
Maglite flashlight and I can get at the center a quite concentrated beam
that lets me more or less see the concentration of the particles that are in
suspension.
Even though I like the ideas about thermal stirring you and Terry gave me,
at this stage I will keep doing it by hand and concentrate in things that
for me are more important.
I am planning to get a good quality CS generator in one or two months but
meanwhile, with the help you and Terry and maybe other friends in the list
are giving me, I should be able to learn something experimenting with the
one I have. Even though I have been drinking whatever "soup" I am making
with it for over a month and a half, I have not given it to my children
because I don´t know what it is or how toxic or useless it may be. I know
for sure the slightly smoky looking water contains silver ions and colloid,
but who knows what else.
In the beginning I followed the generator instructions and was using one
drop of sea salt saturated solution. After Terry told me, I have tried to
not make any more silver chloride but I am having difficulties getting the
process started. The following time I used about 15% from the previous batch
(it still contained a little chloride and other impurities produced in the
previous one), but the results were not satisfactory. It was much slower and
the color was not as smoky whitish as I was used to, but clearer.
For next batch I used 25% of this and the results were even more odd: The
reaction was not too apparent in the beginning and soon at the end of the
anode (which came to about 5 mm from the bottom of the glass) a dense thin
(about the thickness of the wire electrode) downward flow of white material
(it looked like toothpaste coming out of the electrode!!) started depositing
at the bottom of the glass, and at the anode there was not the normal upward
stream of hydrogen minibubbles but irregular bubbles comong out at differen
places, and the cathode did not remain totally clean as it used to do, it
also started getting some irregular shading with whitish and brownish tints.
Several visible white particles formed and fell to the bottom of the glass.
This batch I am saving for external use only, after leaving the majority of
the particles settled at the bottom.
Today I am going to try using a very little bit of pure honey as a starter,
as Terry also suggested as another option. I do not want to use salt any
more, but with the distilled water alone there is no reaction al all.
Thanks for all your help. I will evetually get there before I have a brand
new good quality outfit in my hands!!
Carlos

Dear Carlos,
It sounds like you have good distilled water. Since you are stirring it by
hand, I assume you are making a low voltage DC Colloidal Silver (which,
ironically, is probably mostly ionic ;-)). However, 12 to 13 minutes seems
like a very short time for "brewing" so you must have either used a starter
or are using higher voltage...
Can you give more details? What voltage? Do you have any current limiting
going on? Do you have access to a voltmeter or a current meter which
measures milliamps? Do you have a laser pointer of any sort? Are you
familiar with electrical theory at all?
Even if you don't have any special equipment you can still make the CS but
you won't be quite as sure about the potency, etc.
One way to achieve stirring for a quantity of water up to about pint or a
liter (well, I used it for a one-half gallon container, but it was quite
narrow) is to use "thermal stirring." The idea is to heat the container in
the middle part of the bottom which will cause the water to rise by
convection, and since the outside edges of the container are cooler they
will cause the water to move down. This way you will get a gentle
circulation of the fluid and not have to stir it. One can get a tin can
which has one end cut out, turn it over and cut a smaller hole in the top
to release the heat to the glass and then put a small wattage light bulb in
the can. Set the CS container on top of the can with the small hole facing
the container. You should insulate the top of the can a bit, but don't
insulate over the hole. If the light bulb is too hot, you may need some
ventilation holes in the bottom of the tin can.
The term "Colloidal Silver" is a catch-all term. The stuff we make by this
method is mostly ionic with a small colloidal component. The "must be
ionic"/"must be colloidal" debate is mostly a marketing ploy. It has been
found that in order for the silver to affect the organisms it must be
converted to ions. There may be some virtue to the argument that the
actual colloids of silver, if they are small enough, are absorbed in a
slightly different way and may maintain their integrity for a longer time
in the body, but I believe that they must be converted to ionic silver
before they can actually do anything. The CS we make has been proven to be
very effective.

Hello, Dan,
Thank you very much for your answer.
Strictly speaking Lyme´s diseases is produced by a Spiroquette and
Ehrlichiosis by Ehrlichiae, a Ricketsia. The main vector in both cases is
ticks. The sympthoms are sometimes similar. Since Ehrlichiosis is so
common in the world I hope I find persons that have experience treating it
with CS.
At this stage, I am trying to do my best with the simple system I have. I
am getting a good quality bi-distilled through steaming, free of ions,
that has no reaction by itself. Terry Chamberlain suggested if necessary
use a drop of pure honey, but I like better her other suggestion using
some CS fom the previous batch. I don´t want to use salt again.
I am confused about the opinions concernong Ionic Silver and Colloidal
Silver. There are al kinds of reasons for considering one or the other the
convenient one. Meanwhile, I am trying to find out what my equipment is
producing and optimize it, until I can buy a good trustable system. Next
batch sould come out better. The product I am gettig looks like a glass of
water with one dop of milk, very clear, almost totally transparent with a
slight mist. I am stirring manually with a plastic spoon wile it is
produced in order to keep the conglomerates s small as possible. The wire
electrodes are placed on the opposite sides of a 10 ounce glass and they
leave enough space to do it, but it still is a pain in the neck for 12-13
min.!! Eventally I have to get a system that produces at least one gallon
at a time with much less hassle.
I will keep you informed about my "experiments".
Regards,
Carlos
