Mike,

The problem may be the people that aren't smart enough to figure out how to unsubscribe from the list and then complaining that they are receiving spam from the silver-list. Perhaps you could make it so that if they post to the list with "unsubscribe" in the subject list they will be unsubscribed, since that is the mistake they often appear to make. Or something along those lines.

Take a bow, Dan. Thanks for your effort. Thanks to everyone else who also complained.

Dan sent me copies of correspondence he received from Comcast, and it appears the tech support person he was dealing with submitted the IP address to the blacklist removal address with some kind of override instruction to *force* it to remove the address despite it being in the permanent ban file.

As Dan implies, the fix may only last until the *next* time we trip their system.

<sigh>
