Subject: Re: CS>Hip Dysplasia:COMMENT Alfalfa reminder
My wife has started having severe problems with her hip, it wants to slide
out
of place, and causes severe pain, which can last for days. I wonder if
this
would help her.

Thanks, Brooks, for this reminder. We do need things dangled in front of

Almost all evinced some degree of improvement.....but only one yielded
almost universal, high-degree, rapid positive resolution......with no
side
effects. The protocol involved the simple addition of alfalfa in the form
of
tablets or powdered granules.....to the diet. For rapid improvement the
required volume was about one heaping teaspoon of powdered alfalfa or 12
standard 50 mg tablets, per day for a 30 to 60 pound dog (about 6 tablets
or
3/4 teaspoon for smaller dogs, down t! o 10 lbs weight). I was so
impressed
with his results, that in 1993, when our 10 year old Sheppard mix came
down
with SEVERE hip dysplasia....after receiving the vets pronouncement that
NOTHING could really help (Teddy was in constant pain induced upon rising
or
walking and he required 300 mg of Butazolidin (enough to pain-sedate a
1500
lb horse)
just to bear the pain enough to rise and relieve himself.....and his
cries
of pain in doing so were more than my wife could bear) As a last resort,
my
wife began administering alfalfa
as a supplement to his food
