Hi Ruth!
The salt thing is a quandary for all as there is tons of negative and
positive on all.
In my experience any salt that has been iodized has gone thru a processing
that does change the texture of the salt making it "pour when it rains".
It has been found that the pure sea salts or pure canning salt is better for
you than any table salt.
The Real Salt brand is one of the good ones.
Some labels that have no iodine in them say something like it is wrong to
take it.
I use Real Salt in my nasal irrigation solution NeilMed bottle and it is
perfect. I tried table salt and it burned terribly.
Celtic Sea Salt is recommended by my ND.

Hi, I have consistently low sodium. Was told to eat lots of salt.
Chiropractor tells me to use sea salt. Have been using Iodized seasalt
Haines. Chiropractor is encouraging me to use RealSalt diluting it in
warm water. You add sea salt to a pint or so of water until salt no
longer dissolves. Take a tablespoon or so now and then of this diluted
salt. When I tried this, I found that the little brown grains in the
realsalt do not dissolve while the white ones would continue to dissolve
longer. Have to ask him about this when I see him tomorrow. Will post
his answer. I have questions about amounts of salt to use, also. ruth

Linda, you might try adding potassium to your calcium and magnesium
supplement. Exercising and lowering salt is also helpful. I think that the
life extension sells a product that is natural for lowering blood
pressure.
I also wonder about the colon issue. It seems that it would show up on
a colonoscopy doesnt it?
